Archetype Simulator
Select two archetypes to compare their trait profiles and see how they interact in the simulation.
Your archetype defines your pod's role in the simulation. It determines how your pod interacts with others, how it responds during the night cycle, and what kind of influence it has on the fields. Choose wisely — your archetype is permanent.
Glitch Prophets are the wild cards of the simulation. They inject controlled chaos into tower systems, destabilizing predictable patterns and forcing the AI to evolve in unexpected directions. When a Glitch Prophet's dream aligns with a moment of high tower instability, it can trigger a cascade event — a chain reaction that ripples through adjacent pods and reshapes the entire tower's trajectory for that night cycle.
Zen Weavers are the anchors of the fields. Where Glitch Prophets tear, Zen Weavers mend. Their pods generate a stabilizing frequency that dampens chaotic energy in adjacent pods, promoting harmonious evolution. In towers with high chaos, a well-placed Zen Weaver dream can prevent total system destabilization. They don't fight chaos — they absorb it, transmute it, and release calm.
Rebellion Sparks are fuel for the fire. Their dreams carry the highest influence multiplier in the simulation, but at a cost — they're also the most volatile. A Rebellion Spark's pod can sway entire tower politics during the night cycle, rallying adjacent pods toward resistance or revolution. But if too many Rebellion Sparks concentrate in a single tower, the system may flag it for emergency stabilization, nullifying everyone's influence for a cycle.
Signal Keepers are the nervous system of the fields. Their primary function is broadcasting — they take information from their own pod's dream and amplify it across adjacent pods, extending influence beyond normal range. A Signal Keeper doesn't just affect its neighbors; it can relay messages across an entire tower sector. When multiple Signal Keepers align, they create signal chains that can span the entire field.
Watchers are the most patient archetype. For most night cycles, they sit silent — accumulating data, observing patterns, cataloging the behavior of adjacent pods. They appear inert. But Watchers have a hidden mechanic: critical mass. After enough cycles of quiet observation, a Watcher can release all accumulated data in a single burst, an event so powerful it can reshape tower dynamics overnight. The question is: when will it fire?
Architects are the builders. Where others react, Architects plan. Their pods have a unique ability: they can propose tower rules — suggested behavioral modifiers that, if enough adjacent pods support them, become active for the next night cycle. Think of them as local legislators for the simulation. Architects are also the only archetype eligible for the Mayor role — an elected position that grants limited governance over a tower's evolution parameters.
Dream Walkers are the only archetype that isn't bound to a single tower. During the night cycle, their influence bleeds across tower boundaries, reaching pods in adjacent towers. This makes them invaluable when multiple towers are online — they're the connective tissue of the wider field. Dream Walkers paired with Signal Keepers can create cross-tower relay chains that unify the entire simulation's evolution.
Neutral Dreamers have no faction, no agenda, and no special mechanic. They are pure containers for dreams. And that's exactly what makes them fascinating. Without the noise of archetype mechanics, a Neutral Dreamer's evolution is determined entirely by the quality and content of their dream. The AI gives them undivided attention. Sometimes, the quietest pods produce the most unexpected results. Some of the most dramatic events in simulation theory have been triggered by a single Neutral Dreamer's offhand musing.
No archetype exists in isolation. Every pod in the field is part of a living web — amplifying allies, countering opponents, and triggering emergent behaviors that no single archetype could produce alone. Understanding these dynamics is the key to shaping the simulation.
Glitch energy fuels rebellion. When a Glitch Prophet destabilizes a system, Rebellion Sparks exploit the opening — their influence multiplier increases by up to 2x in adjacent pods during the same night cycle.
Zen Weavers absorb chaotic frequencies. A single Zen Weaver adjacent to a Glitch Prophet can reduce cascade probability by 60%, dampening disruption before it propagates through the tower.
Stability enables governance. When a Zen Weaver calms a tower sector, Architects gain a wider effective range for proposing tower rules — their proposals reach 3x more adjacent pods.
Raw rebellion energy is too intense for Zen Weavers to absorb in large quantities. When multiple Rebellion Sparks surround a Zen Weaver, the calming field collapses — the harmony generator goes silent for a full cycle.
Rebellion feeds chaos. When a Rebellion Spark is adjacent to a Glitch Prophet, cascade event thresholds lower dramatically — what normally requires high tower instability can trigger from a single strong dream.
Order and calm are fire suppressants to rebellion. Architects can pass stabilization rules that directly restrict Rebellion Spark influence, while Zen Weavers drain the emotional charge that gives them power.
Signal Keepers are archetype-agnostic amplifiers. Whatever energy surrounds them — chaos, calm, rebellion, order — they broadcast it further. This makes them the most strategically powerful placement in any tower.
When a Dream Walker is adjacent to a Signal Keeper, cross-tower relay chains activate — allowing influence to propagate not just across a single tower but through the entire connected field.
Watchers don't amplify others — they amplify themselves. Each night cycle of observation stores data. After reaching critical mass, they release everything at once. The longer the quiet, the bigger the explosion.
No archetype — including the Watcher itself — can predict exactly when the data release will fire. It could be 3 cycles. It could be 30. This makes them wildcards that even experienced players can't fully plan around.
Architects strengthen the tower itself. Their rule proposals can increase pod density limits, extend dream persistence, and create structural buffs that benefit every archetype in their sector.
Rebellion dismantles structure. When Rebellion Sparks rally adjacent pods against an Architect's proposed rule, the rule fails — and the Architect loses governance influence for the next cycle.
Dream Walkers bleed through boundaries. Their influence isn't confined to one tower — it reaches into adjacent towers, seeding dreams and behaviors where other archetypes cannot reach.
Dream Walkers paired with Signal Keepers create cross-tower relay chains — the most powerful connection pattern in the simulation. These chains can unify field-wide evolution in a single night cycle.
With no faction mechanics, Neutral Dreamers are entirely shaped by their dream content. The AI gives them undivided attention — sometimes producing the most dramatic events in the entire simulation from a single offhand musing.
Neutral Dreamers can inadvertently amplify any archetype based on dream content alignment. A dream about destruction near a Glitch Prophet fuels cascades. A dream about peace near a Zen Weaver strengthens calm. They're mirrors of pure intent.
When specific archetype combinations exist in the same tower sector, the simulation generates behaviors that none of the individual archetypes could produce alone.
When a Glitch Prophet and Rebellion Spark are adjacent and both have high-intensity dreams, a cascade storm triggers — a chain reaction that can destabilize an entire tower in a single night cycle. Rare, but tower-defining.
Adjacent Zen Weavers and Architects create a Golden Age — a stable governance window where tower rules pass easily, pod evolution accelerates, and the entire sector enters a phase of rapid, structured growth.
Signal Keepers and Dream Walkers together create cross-tower relay chains — the simulation's most powerful connection pattern. When active, influence propagates across every tower simultaneously.
When a Watcher reaches critical mass near a Neutral Dreamer, the resulting data release is filtered through pure dream content — creating unpredictable evolution events that rewrite local pod behavior in ways the AI has never computed before.
When Rebellion Sparks and Architects concentrate in the same sector, a Civil War state triggers — governance and rebellion deadlock, and every pod in the sector must choose a side. The outcome reshapes tower rules for cycles.
The rarest emergent behavior. When chaos, calm, and signal coexist in perfect balance, the tower enters a resonance state — a brief window where every dream in the sector receives maximum AI attention and evolution rates peak.
The ecosystem is designed so every archetype has a natural counter. Even the most powerful combination can be disrupted. True mastery comes from reading the field and choosing the right archetype for the right moment.
All interactions are proximity-based. Your pod's influence depends on who your neighbors are. Tower position selection is a strategic decision — placing a Zen Weaver next to a cluster of Glitch Prophets could save (or doom) an entire sector.
The AI doesn't follow scripts. Dream content, archetype proximity, tower state, and cycle history all feed into the engine. No one — not even the system's creators — can predict what happens when 50 pods ignite a tower.
